About us

Hello, we're Jess and Delphine.

We opened Orla Bridal because we think finding your dress should be exciting from start to finish. We'll look after you personally, in our chapel in Mytholmroyd, with all the time you need.

Our story

Orla Bridal was born from friendship, shared values, and a belief that finding your wedding dress should feel every bit as magical as the day itself.

After years of friendship and countless conversations, we realised we shared the same dream: a boutique where brides could step out of the whirlwind of wedding planning and simply enjoy the experience.

So we combined what we each do best. Delphine brings the bridal expertise and styling knowledge; Jess brings a career built on looking after people and a love of creating beautiful, welcoming spaces.

Because finding your dress isn't just about what you wear on your wedding day. It's about how you feel.

Meet the founders

Different strengths, the same instinct for looking after people.

Jess

Jess has spent more than seventeen years in client relationship management, working with everyone from growing businesses to major multinationals, always with a focus on people, communication, and trust. She has also given many years to her local community through mentoring, fundraising, and bringing people together.

She has always loved interiors and design, from renovating homes to curating beautiful spaces, with a particular soft spot for timeless style and the small details that turn an experience from ordinary to unforgettable.

As a bride herself, Jess knows that finding your wedding dress is about so much more than choosing a gown. It's about feeling seen, understood, and excited for what's ahead, and she loves helping brides feel exactly that.

Delphine

Originally from the island of Réunion, Delphine lived in Australia for five years, studied Personal Styling in Paris, and moved to the UK for love, building a career in bridal along the way. That journey shaped a keen eye for silhouette, fabric, fit, and individual style.

Her years in the bridal industry have shown her hundreds of gowns and the brides who fell in love with them, and taught her one thing above all: every woman is unique. She brings calm reassurance and a trained stylist's eye to every appointment, guiding you towards a gown that reflects not only how you want to look, but how you want to feel on your wedding day.

Most of all, she loves helping brides embrace their individuality and find a gown that feels unmistakably, beautifully theirs.

The chapel

A restored chapel that makes trying on dresses feel like an occasion.

Our home is a beautifully restored chapel in the heart of Mytholmroyd: intimate, warm, and nothing like a busy shop floor.

We call it our bridal sanctuary. A place to breathe, to dream, to laugh, to celebrate, and to find a dress that feels truly right, with the people who matter most beside you.

We're fitting out the chapel right now, shaping it into the boutique we've imagined: soft light, beautiful mirrors, and plenty of room for the people you bring with you.

Until the doors open, here's the outside of our home and a glimpse of where the inside is heading. Book one of our first appointments and you'll be among the very first to see it finished.

Your visit

Drinks, cake, and all the time you need.

Your visit is about how you feel from the moment you arrive, so the welcome will always be ready:

  • A drink in your hand from the start: fizz, tea, or coffee.
  • Cake, because trying on wedding dresses deserves cake.
  • The whole chapel to yourselves, with time to try, twirl, and decide.

Service philosophy

Honest advice, expert eyes, and no pressure.

Every appointment is yours: unhurried, thoughtful, and centred on how you want to feel.

Whether you're discovering your style for the first time or arriving with a clear vision in mind, we'll support and guide you every step of the way, with honest advice and the freedom to find what feels right at your own pace.
